Job Description

The Reisner Group is currently looking for a District Manager, for a global grocery chain in Philadelphia, PA. This role consists of managing employees on a day to day basis, while maintaining the company standards and procedures.

Job Description 

  • Train and develop new and existing employees to reduce turnover and increase employee satisfaction

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process of new employees including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring on new employees

  • Terminate and recommend employees on an add needed basis

  • Establish and communicate company goals, objectives, and values of employees by serving as a liaison between employees and upper management

  • Handle customer concerns and complaints to create a positive customer experience and a reasonable resolution that abides by company standards

  • Manage and oversee store operations to maximize sales

  • Maintain all OSHA and company standards to provide a safe environment for customers and employees

  • Keep track of competition by visiting regularly and keeping up to date on market trends

  • Keep track of competition pricing reporting it to the Director of Store Operations

  • Insure all policies and regulation are enforced and make recommendation to the Director of Store Operations as needed

  • Insure all federal, state and local laws and regulations are abided by enforced

  • Participate in the development and implementation of action plans to improve operating results

  • Monitor and manage expenses and expense reports including productivity, inventory, and shrink

  • Keep track of store inventory and perform cash audits

  • Monitor and approve store expenses within company guidelines

  • Organize and conduct group meetings facilitating group involvement 

Requirements

  • MUST have a Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, economics or other related field with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • MUST have interpersonal skills and be able to effectively communicate with peers, employees, vendors and customers 

  • MUST be able to properly handle conflict, mediate it, and effectively come up with a resolution

  • Develop knowledge of company, products, procedures, services, and systems

  • Professional communicate verbally and in writing

  • Manage time effectively by organizing, prioritizing, and completing all activities

  • Ability to work cross functionally with Human Resources on training, development, hiring, retention, and separation of employees

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, and division)

  • Ability to utilize store computers, cash registers, and other company software
